This segment is titled, “No Change.” The story recalls my relationship with my grandfather, who had a lot to do with whatever semblance of sanity I evidenced as an adult. The oblique references to my father’s misdeeds connects to the nebulous memories, libidinous behavior and gut-wrenching body trauma I associate with him. This story was based on a very vivid dream I had, with a sharp, clear, cinematic visual, with fear, a hint of terror and a pleasing ironic twist at the end. LINKED HERE is the story.
